Occupancy Sensor Lights

06/07/2012 7:30 AM

I have come across two type of occupancy sensor lights in the market.

1/ Only have PIR Detection.

2/ Have both PIR and Lux sensors.

What sort of applications, we select the sensor type out of two types mentioned above???

Thanks!

The second type saves power by only switching the lights on when the area is occupied and the natural light level is too low.

There are also sensors that use PIR and/or sound. Imagine what you could do with those.
