Isn't independent research the whole point of a PhD? If your advisor can't help, I don't see how anyone here at CR4 can help.

USB is absolutely correct!

Also, obtain your Master's Degree first, then decide how you want to approach the Doctorate program.

Have a long and hard discussion with your Adviser before choosing your next step. He/she may or may not recommend you for a Master's or a switch of engineering discipline....a lot depends on your mental attitude, grades, and least but not last financial considerations. i sure hope you have the time to put into further studies beyond the Undergraduate program + deep pockets full of $$$$$$$!

I am confused, back in January you were asking about project ideas for a Diploma in engineering and now almost half a year later you are in a (ME) Masters of engineering program asking about a PhD program?

Are these some correspondence courses or something as my understanding was that after completing a postgraduate diploma of engineering program you need at least a year to get through a Masters of Engineering Program before you can move on to a PhD program (1-2 years)?

Can you provide more information please (including current qualifications, country and previous and future engineering specialisations you are aiming for).

Try converting static charge Conversion into a useful energy source. I saw an attempt using a Faraday Cage in the past.

What's going on with you, you don't answer simple followup questions we ask in your posts and you cannot seem to perform simple internet searches yourself (yet your now supposedly working your way through a Masters in Engineering).

Something doesn't add up with your questions and is starting to smell. Can you please provide more information on what you are actually trying to do and accomplish least you lose the potential assistance of the few Engineers and Scientists that have not already given up trying to figure out what you actually want.

If you have to ask, you're not ready.
