Earthing Calculation in IEEE80

06/14/2012 3:13 AM

Corrective weighting factor that emphasises the effect of grid depth in Eq. 83/IEEE 80-2000. Can somebody please explain me the reference depth and the background of the correction factor [Kh = sqrt(1+h/h0)]?

Thanks.

Equation 83 was not explored in that......

Are you sure it is h/h0? Alternatively, can you define the variables h and h0? I am assuming h is the depth in metres... what is h0?

There is a depth factor that is dependent on the grid area. Is that where you are at?
