Dynamic Short Circuit Currents Calculation

06/14/2012 4:02 AM

Hi,

I have tried calculation below. But Can ab please tell me how to calculate dynamic short circuit currents - with regards to

(1) Main connection (from 39 MVA generator to 39 MVA 11/132kV transformer).

(2) Branchoff connection (branchoff from 11 kV bus towards Unit Auxiliary Transformer of 500 kVA rating).

We have a short circuit MVA of 300 MVA, and it is 11/132 kV transformer.

- As per my calculation, it is 15.75 kA for 11 kV side........but we do also have to consider power factor at short circuit - to calculate exact value?

All this I have calculated is 3 phase symmetrical short circuit rms current. But I am not sure about dynamic currents.

Regards,

sks
