A very good aim, but will they achieve it by 2050, my brother-in-law in Copenhagen tells me that their wind turbines work as erratically as ours, and he is one of those who errect them and maintain them, they are also utilising methane from landfill sites, but this is NOT CO2 free, so I doubt very much that they will be ready by 2050!

I believe that no one has bothered to discuss the synergestic effects of CO2 reduction and the anti-nuclear power movement in Europe.

This is the real story......

Nuclear power stations, as we all know, emit no CO2, run 24/7 and can stabilize an electric power grid.

Because the Japanese didn't second-guess the height of a thousand year tsunami, Europe will not pursue this important option.

Wussy Denmark will simply continue to import reliable Nuclear generated electriciity from Sweden.....as they have for many decades.

Hi MJCronin, Most people here in the UK want nuclear power, but a few so-called "greenies", keep getting in the way, nevertheless, we are starting to build new nuclear power stations here in Britain, and some of them will be using the less dangerous Thorium instead of Uranium!
