A null voltmeter is an instrument that very accurately measures only when a null or zero volts exists across two points in a network. This is used predominantly in a Wheatstone Bridge. Don't confuse this with the Whitestone Bridge.

the null voltmeter is used in generator control panel for AVR, in that position, which two points across checked?

Null voltmeter in AVR panel is energised from the control card. Null voltmeter simply reads the difference between the Auto & Manual Regulation references. please read the AVR operating manual for more details..
