Seeking Source for Metric Silicon Bronze Nuts

06/21/2012 1:47 PM

Too lazy to Google it. Can someone do it for me?

LOL, KIDDING! Seriously though, have searched by all usual methods. For some reason, it seems like no one makes them. This seems odd, as it's not a particularly unusual combination of specs.

Can find Silicon Bronze nuts. Can find Metric nuts. But can't find Silicon Bronze Metric Nuts.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? In the M6 to M20 range.

A U.S. source please, if possible.

Thanx.

Yeah, thanx SolarEagle. Neither of those have them. One of them would make them for a premium. But I suppose a lot of places would do that. Hoping to find stock. Like I said, I'm amazed at their scarcity. Plenty of people use silicon bronze nuts in US sizes.

Nope. Said he could look around for someone to make them. Said he had imperial sizes but not metric.

Well, I sent The Nutty Company a nutty inquiry. We'll see if they pecan help me

Hopefully they won't have to have them shipped from Macadamia!

Thanx.

Okay WJMFIRE, The Nutty Company got back to me and apparently they have all of what I need in stock. They have all nuts. In salted and unsalted varieties, no less! So, mission accomplished. Thank you. Still following through with the other suggestions I've received, for price/avail comparisons.

Thank you all for your help.

OBE -

First few I think are repeats from earlier posts.

Last three are locals I've used in the Houston area.

Depending on the quantity you need, Bayou City probably has a box on the shelf.

Mainland and Zerofast will get you anything you want, SB, metric, left hand thread, laser engraved serial numbers... depends on how patient and wealthy you are.

Aarons may be your best source if you need a large quantity.
