Single Direction Tilting Pad Thrust Bearing (Mitchel Type)

We have a thrust bearing arrangement in c compressor runner in center. both tilting segment are either sides and out side bearing segment is active side bearing. what will happen if we fit the inside bearing segment in place of out side segment.

Are both inside and outside segments the same ones? The white metal surfaces and the location of the tilting axis is the same for both type segments?
