(0.2 x 3.2808 x 60)(750 x 2.2)/33,000 ≈ 1.96 ≈ 2hp theoretically. Because of accelerating the load, you would need a 3hp or 5hp motor.

Depending on how frequent the usage is, the drum diameter should be something like 10x to 20x the cable diameter. From that you can calculate the rpm of the drum, and then the gear ratio to match the rpm of the motor. The output torque of the gear will be 750kg x radius of cable wrap on the drum x safety factor of maybe 2.0.

Alternatively, purchase a winch from a catalog.

I appreciate if you elaborate the formula use. I calculate as below

Power = Force* distance /time

=750*9.81*12/(12/0.2)

= 1471.5 W

= 1471.5/745.6 hp (1 hp =745.6W)

= 1.97 hp

≈ 2 hp

Amazingly it matched

My calc used imperial units, based on 1 hp = 33,000 ft-lb/min. The upsize to 3 or 5 hp is kind of an experience estimate; coincidentally it matches some fish unloading hoists in my plant.
