It may just be a loose connection (rather than a damaged hard drive).

You may be able to remove the covers to gain access to the hard drive, if you are lucky just removing the hard drive and then plugging it back in (with the power off of course) may just fix your problem.

Try rebooting the computer several times if necessary....If that doesn't work you need to check the hard drive connection....the hard drive may have shifted position and is no longer connected properly....follow the instructions in the first link, if you are qualified and feel confident in repairing your own computers...

repairing the Notebooks is a m_i_c_r_o s_u_r_g_e_r_y - they have everything inter-integrated so just getting to servicable section may be "an hours work" - you likely cant be guided online for successful repair - however if you "gift" your damaged 1 for "spare parts" you may be able to trade off some $ from a new 1 that are usually sold in resellers @ 3x(manufacturing + normal market add up(expenses)) price just because everyone wants new /// on the contrary the used stuff may be just as good as your own and you may get it from (hand to hand) of the 5% of the "® 3x" price t.m. 15% normal price
