Calculation of KWH Reading of Energy Meter

06/29/2012 10:34 AM

hello everybody, i have a energy meter rated PT-66kv/110v,CT-200/1A,accuracy class0.5 and multiplt factor-1000 export type connected on 66kv feeder having CT Ratio 100-200-400/1A .what will happen to the kWH reading if i connected this meter to the 400/1A for the calculation of units consumed in the feeder.if i multiply it by 2000 to get the correct reading of the unit consumed.as the meter is design on the CT ratio -200/1A.please tell me about this.

Simple formula you can apply to calculate the Multiplication factor of meter system

Multiplication factor for KWH = CT ratio of line * PT ratio of line

___________________________ * scale factor of meter

meter CTR * meter PTR
