When you select the components of a motor feeder say SCPD (i.e. MCCB), contactor and overload relay it has to comply with the requirements of Type-2 coordination of IEC 60947. Every manufacturer will provide in his product catalogue the selection chart for components to match with the KW rating of the motor. For high inertia equipment like fans etc. overload relay selected should take care of higher starting time of motor.
