Elgo P8822 Problem

07/21/2012 1:19 AM

Greetings CR4 Contributors.

I have a problem with an Elgo P8822 Controller.

The problem is that when the controller is set to single mode, the axis's move to their positions, but don't come to rest at the actual desired position, they could be 1 or 2 numeric points out, Not Much but a lot to my customer.

I am sure that this is a just a programme fault, also I have asker the customer to clean an lube the drive train in case that is causing the fault.

Can anyone in the CR4 community help me with this problem.

Best Regards

Joe

Hi Joe,

May I please ask for some advice? I'm looking into using an ELGO p40 controller for the first time. This is what i want to do. I can connect my elgo to an inverter and control the inverter to run a 3 phase motor, which runs a conveyor.

All I want to do is run sheet metal down a conveyor for a set distance say 1 m(using encoder) , for the elgo to stop the motor and a guillotine to cut the metal. The elgo then drives on for another meter stops and the guillotine cuts the second piece, carry on doing this for a pre programmed quantity.

The support in the uk is non existent and i cant find anything on line about the elgo either. I would be so grateful for some input from you.

Sorry i cant help with your question

Ian

Hi, you could use the P40 controller for this application, but after each cut the controller would have to be set back to Zero. The totalizing should still work.

Cheers Joe

Hi Joe,

Would this have to be done manually after each cut or could it be automatic. IE the operator wants 10 sheets of 1m long. Could I program 10 sheets and after each 1m length send a signal back to the elogo to do the next cut?
