Development of Permanent Magnet Rotor of 2 kW Three Phase Motor

08/02/2012 2:46 AM

We have number of three phase 0.33 kw to 2 kw permanent magnet motors working last seven years. We are having defective permanent magnet rotors wish to develop permanent magnet rotors for the motor having specification below

TYBZ-200-100L-6

0.33 KW TO 2 KW

67 V TO 380 V AC

3 PHASE

340 TO 1940 RPM

17 TO 97 HZ

We wish to know construction details with material specification of the above motor-rotor

You have already developed PM rotors which are working for 7 years. Now what are the defects that you have found???

Dear Sir

These permanent magnet is aluminum die cast rotor and found the shape has deformed.Suspect that ferro magnet used inside these aluminum die cast rotor has weakened.Performance of these rotors are very poor. Photo enclosed of servicable rotor.Stators are OK.We wanted to develop this rotor

Dear Sadasivam,

I can suggest to use surface mounted permanent magnet rotor in which the magnets are sticked on rotor surface by using LOCTITE 334 magnet bond and you should use rotor steel which is having high permeability. These type of rotors will perform well and no mechanical problems. But i am not sure what is the result at higher speeds (>600 RPM)
