H-Bus Protection

08/05/2012 5:46 AM

Sirs

I was asked by my Boss to look into the design of our substation expansion which originally have a single bus and a single transformer bay with 4 feeders for 13.8 kV Distribution. The plan calls for the addition of an 69 kV switching facility in H- bus configuration and another transformer bay for N-1 of the substation to be integrated to the existing facilities.

The existing substation was tapped to the sub-transmission line with one end about 4 km away connected to the embedded generator and to the national grid in the other end 3 km away.

Can anyone help me on how to address the protection requirements for an H-bus and sub-transmission line? Im new in my job and currently researching on this and would appreciate any help.

Thank you.
