i would like to know how u select the appropriate MCB of the same current rating,,, for example in our metre boxes in our country thre are 60 amp MCBs and in the distribution boards in our houses there is also 60 amp main breaker,,,, i would like to know what is the difference between MCBs of the same rating,,,,,,?

It might be the inclusion of Earth Fault protection, it might be the Trip Curve selection, there could be several things. No way for us to know from here.

Circuit breaker rating is related to the downstream circuit characteristics. British Standard 7671 gives full details.
