To the best of my knowledge The National Electrical Code NEC 2011 is the current edition of the American national standard and not Indian standard.

I am sorry to correct you! The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) have recently, in 2011, published a revision of the Indian National Electric Code 1985 and the hard copy is priced approximatley Rs. 4, 000.00 and is available at all BIS offices and with all reputed booksellers. I my self have bougt a copy of the same.

It is very much an INDIAN STANDARD cross referring to many BIS Specifications in its contents.
