Has there been any heat treatments? What is your intended purpose in polishing? Is this for a drill point?

heat treatment is not on the polishing area. we need to remove mill scale and rust particles on the pipe to make wire screen on the pipe. sometimes we do driiling on the polished area.

actually i cant use a softer media, currently we are using P24 grit. but we are using 2 belts per pipe. polishing area it self nearly 30+ foot. pipe dia from 3-7". i want to reduce the no of belts used and improve the finishing. current finishing also not so good.

When all the other possibilities have been eliminated, the proposed action is the only one left.
