Bending SS316 Thickness 3.0 mm

I want to make die for bending SS 316 - 3.0 mm thick - laser cut - during shard right angle bend it crack. then we make it flame heat & in ok , but while heating , finishing get damage.

Now trying to make another die / optional arrangement like ... bending with HY ylinder etc.... but not sure.... trial-eror & improvement

Please give solution , to avoid trial & error

Increase the bend radius.

Change materials.

hi bro...

May I know what is your bending Radius? because normally the die opening for 3mm material is around 18mm (V die ) and the theoretical minimum bending line to edge is about 12.71mm. less than that it will cause the material to drop during bending process...

Thanks a lot, die process is on & yr details will be helpful for the same. someone advise me to pur casting at bending radious SS316 , .Will comeback with more details, regards, manish
