Gearbox Company Names

08/22/2012 11:32 PM

Dear friends

My company is looking for a planetary gearbox supplier with products comply with the following specifications:1. Power ranges from 2500KW to 10000KW.2. Speed increaser3. Input speed: 1500rpm and output speed from 4800rpm to 12375rpm.

I guess it is not the right place to post this kind of question, but what I need is only the company names. I have been working on this for couple of months but with very limited feedback. Hope you guys can help me out.

BTW, is it allowed to post email address here?

Thank you

I have checked there, but most of the products listed there are only smaller sizes. There were some companies provide high power, and I have contacted them, none of them fit my criteria.

I would phone just about any gearbox company and ask if they offer what you need. If not, they may know of another manufacturer who does.

Thanks mate. I did make phone calls, but most of them produce speed reducer, so do the company names they told me.

Speed increasers may not be especially common. If possible, it may be better to enlarge the driven component so as to operate at the slower prime mover speed.

(I once designed refrigerant screw compressor packages each way, and it turned out that the larger/slower compressor was better on all counts of cost, maintenance, noise, and longevity.)

It is a brilliant thought, but that would cost a lot of time on discussion about the ideas, design and cost calculation.

Try calling a gear manufacturer and talk to someone in their engineering department or try a gear manufacturers association and perhaps they can point you in the correct direction.

Would a 2-pole (3000 rpm) motor, with a somewhat larger compressor, be workable?

Have you looked at Benzlers yet?

They do custom boxes.
