Find ISxxxx that is counterpart to BS7671 or the U.S. NEC; it should tell you the acceptable options.

It rather depends upon the cable sizing, and what's upstream and downstream of it, Mildred.

What, in your opinion, is the difference between the two (SwitchFuse and FuseSwitch)?

If you glance at IEC 60947-3 you will see that the two terms are no longer in use. The correct term for both is Fuse-combination-unit.

So, your question is redundant. It is the same equipment both at Incoming and outgoing, only the ratings will be different obviously.

Both SFU & FSU have become almost obsolete now. Today, the most popular is the SDF Unit or the Switch Disconnector Fuse Unit.
