Hi wareagle,

I believe some of our colleagues in the electrical engineering profession has simple load flow program in excel format. I saw some of them in the net for free but i can't fully understand the programs. I just wrote this thread if somebody have simple yet easy to understand, like for instance a radial system with say a 10 spans or less of lines.

Usually load flow programs are for much more complex systems than what you are describing. Why would you need one for such a small system?

Just because it is written in Excel doesn't make it easier to understand, the data required and the answers supplied should be the same regardless of the simplicity or complexity of the program.

If your network topology has only a single voltage node and doesn't have any interconnected/parallel nodes/paths; i.e., is truly radial, then all you really need is a slide rule and an understanding of how to handle simple complex math in combination with Kirchoff's Current and Voltage Laws.

Perhaps OP will share with us the true nature of the problem, data available and answers he expects the program to provide.
