They say that the number of fMRI researchers who don't use the necessary statistical corrections has dropped from 30% to around 10% since the study was published.

Maybe time to ask a dead salmon what he thinks about the remaining 10%.

Reminds me of my early days developing an isotope emission tomographic scanner. One of the medical consultants involved volunteered to be scanned, and was delighted with the result in which he was convinced he could see the outline of his kidneys.

I didn't have the heart to tell him that a bug in mythe coding of the reconstuction algorithm was causing the printouts to be essentially random blobs .
