When I put batteries in my henway it changes it's physical attributes a bit. My duckdo uses type BS batteries.

Inches, meters, feet, what's the unit of measure and you really need the diameter, height and voltage is probably 9..

Really, any 9 volt battery will do. The bleepers run on 9-12 V. Just put a

  • in its place.

I found a lot of similar batteries, measure it more accurately and specify voltage also.

The closest match was: SANYO CR-1/3N Diameter 11.6mm Height 10.8mm 3 volts.

You can Google it yourself.

Fluke has a Bleeper III that uses 2 AAA alkaline batteries. But unless your picture is distorted, those aren't them. What brand is a Bleeper II?

The bleeper II is a metal pen style Geiger counter with a pocket clip on one end. It takes two of these batteries and the ruler in the picture is in millimeters. I should have clarified its a Geiger counter because there are a number of devices that exist called bleeper. I could just connect a power supply to its terminals and increase the voltage until it comes to life but on the other hand I don't know if it works and it might be nice to try getting some batteries for it. Thanks for peoples interest and replies.

My fluke say about 10mV and I think that means they are completely flat and its 16mm in diameter and about 16mm in length.

These LOOK like they may be camera batteries. My Minolta took two cells but the camera store sold a single battery that was the same as two regular batteries but in a single case. Looked like these, as I recall.

Your set-up maybe could use 4 regular button batteries stacked, if the voltage works out right.

Disregard my 9V battery suggestion, but most beepers of that sort are 9-12V.

Yup they be CR1/3 3Volt 200mAh batteries Yahlasit nailed it.(GA)

Yes they're a "Photo" battery a bit hard to come by but you can get the lithium ones online readily enough.

I've been looking at Lithium batteries for a work project, and while the size is great there's not enough grunt(for this particular job) could only find one in a chemist(drugstore?)and I went to several in a 30km radius. Google for the Varta, Lisun, Duracell websites they have battery comparisons and data sheets.

I was looking at the varta data-sheet for the CR1/3 and its diameter is 11.4mm and height 10.4mm. My battery is about 16mm diameter and about 16mm high. Very much doubt its for detecting electromagnetic radiation because it uses a metal case and has no antenna under plastic cap or anywhere.

Re: Can Someone Identify This Battery From a Bleeper II Please?

Update on this. I connected a power supply to this and it came to life when about 3 volts is provided. That means each battery is around 1.5 volts (though I still dont know type number of battery). And it does measure radiation. My lump of pitchblende which is about 30 microsieverts/hour in activity makes device beep once every ten seconds when placed right up against it. I cant get a clear view of circuit inside but its using things like silicone transistors and I would guess it dates from maybe 1980. Very interesting object. I welcome any info about it at all and thanks for all comments to date. Now I know how many volts it wants I am sure I will find some battery to fit. david in uk.

This might work....$5

The CR123A is a 3-Volt Lithium primary battery (non-rechargeable) - SANYO brand. Size: 33.8mm long x 16mm diameter (1.5" x 0.67"). Fits in cameras, mini flashlights, memory, etc. Premium-quality

Yup, used in camera's from around the 1970's, Minolta used a lot of these. But this is an easy one. Replace with 2 357's or 675's in series. You can buy these at the supermarket or pharmacy for about a buck a piece on a card.
