CCGT Efficiency Comparison Between 2 on 1 Multi Shaft and 1 on 1 Single Shaft

09/30/2012 7:15 AM

In combined cycle, as far as I concern, Steam turbine efficiency in 2 on 1 multi shaft configuration is higher than one in 1 on 1 single shaft * 2 unit when we use the same gas turbine model. Could anyone explain why ST efficiency is higher?
