Friends

I am a Post graduate mechanical Engineer with 20 years of experience in Mechanical, electrical and electronics. I would like to do PhD in Mechatronics or related subjects. Could any one please suggest a topic and an University which is offering the course with Scholarships or any other source of funding. Now I am in India.

regards

Kumaar

Hi !!

Perahps you must be aware that there are hardly any institutes in India offering graduate courses in Mechtronics. The First one to offer BE Mechatronics in India was/is GCET affilayed to Sardar Patel University at Vallabh Vidyanagar Dist Anand and I understand LD College of Engg is consideriing ME Mechatronics though they do not have Undergrade BE Corses in the branch of your interest.

You may contact these institues and also CMTI at Banglore which is GOI institute under department of S & T , and is doing work in the field of manufacturing technolgy and has also a dpartment for Electronics CNC Systems. Machine Tools & Metrology.

For the subjects you would get clue by visiting website www.cnczone.com . Register and pick up threads from several to be found on this site.

In the field of Metrology , CNC Machine Tools & robotics there is enormus scope for research

Trust this gives you some leads to probe more
