Ground Fault Relay

Can we use a Groud Fault Relay to protect cicuits having their distribution system with multipl neutral grounded connections? for example, similar to electrical distribution system in Australia? if not , then how ground fault protection is provided for this type of system?

A single neutral grounded connection, will suffice to provide protection, through ground fault relay.
