Hydraulic Control of Frontal Milling Machine LINE 3100

10/04/2012 3:35 AM

Hi there, I need some information about controlling of hydraulic equilibration of milling head and mobile cross used in portal milling LINE 3100.1.A.The original conception was using the box of similarity, which must be replace with a new type of controlling.I thought it can be replaced by two proportional valves that controls the amount of pressure in the two cylinders, accordingly with input signal received from rotary absolute encoders.

I see you asked same question in several places, still no answer ? What is a box of similarity ? Although I am involved in servohydraulics since amy years I never met the notion. Could you be more explicit ? Provide a schematic drawing ?

Im priciple the system should have a low frequency in order to dynamically damp the periodic disturbancies due to the limited number of teeth (cutting tool) and material strength variations.
