Applications Engineer

Hello, Please I have a Contrec 1010A flow computer and I want to use it to start my pump when I press the START button after entering the preset volume and also to stop the pump when the preset volume is reached. Can anyone direct me by send a wiring diagram for the pump control side to the flow computer? Thanks

The attached link, http://www.contrec.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/7_1010AServiceMan.pdf, is the installation and service manual. It includes contact information to the manufacturer, if you need details on your specific device.

Hello Bigg, I have this manual but what I want to know is can the contrec start and stop the pump? If yes, to which terminal do i connect the control coil of the DOL starter? Regards

Show the manual to an electrician locally and discuss the application. This is bread-and-butter for that role.

Thanks Guru but the local electrician does not work on contrec. At the moment we have th pump running on a DOL starter but we need to automate it by connecting it to the contrec flow computer.

It appears that the 1010 has various cards or modules available to perform various tasks. Thus the advice to contact the manufacturer for your specific setup. I suspect that separate manuals are supplied for the various cards.

Here's a link to an 8 part product manual, including programming and wiring diagrams: http://www.contrec.co.uk/1010-a/ I think the terminals used will depend on your programming.
