Eye Don't Want to Alarm You But...

This giant, still bleeding eye, was found on the beach while beach combing this morning...While there was much speculation as to what type of creature it belonged to, even more interesting is what ate this giant creature, and why is it so close to shore.....What do you think? Want to go for a swim?

Update....Appears to be from either a 'Bigeye thresher shark' or swordfish in the 12-13ft range.....check out the tail fin....

We always eat the eyes, so what ever creature did the deed was not a gourmet.

Sperm whales can eat squids, even giant ones. So maybe that rather than an orca.

It reminded me of a cartoon I saw.

there is a man lying in a hospital bed bandaged from head to foot, arms, legs head everything, just one eye is peeping out, and the doctor is saying '..Mmmm I don't like the look of that eye..'
