Metal Rectifier

Please does any one have an idea on metal rectifier. In my company we use the as surge suppressors.I want to know more about it;thus, on how they work,testing if its good etc.

The testing regime needs to be embraced within the company's Procedure Manual. That way, if personnel change, the required practices continue, maintaining quality.
