what is the function of template and trailing lug inthe process column?

how the elevation of a coloumn define , I have seen that it is with respect the bottom of the tangent line , for example it the bottom tangent line to top elevation distance is 85000m then the top elevation is delta +85000mm , does it right?

what is/are removable and non removable internal in the process column?

1. Template is the replica of skirt base ring, which is sent to the site so that foundation bolts can be located and there will be no mismatch in the alignment of base ring bolt holes and bolt.

2. Tailing lugs are used during the errection of any vertical vessel/column in order to avoid lateral swinging of vessel/column.

The elevation of a process column is typically from grade to the bottom tangent line. The column height is generally the distance from the bottom tangent line to the top tangent line.

Process columns will have internals such as trays and/or packing that are fixed or removable. Typically a percentage of the trays would be removable for access to work in the column. The internals that are removable versus fixed are specified by the column designer and manufacturer. Some internals will be field installed while others will be installed at the manufacturers shop.
