U Stamp

Hi every body I am rohinth workin as QA/QC

I have recieved a material SA 516 GR 70 without ASME U stamp and test certificate along with the material. TC was found satisfacary as per ASME code . Now how to accept the material .

If you are saying you received a piece of plate without a U stamp, of course it doesn't have a U stamp. The U stamp is for a complete Unfired pressure vessel. The plate should have been marked with a heat number which matches the Mill Test Certificate which you apparently received, although your post is confusing. If they match, you are good to go. If they don't, or if the material is unmarked, the material is unacceptable.
