GA for the first reply.

Also talk to the crane hire contractors who you will use to lift and move the tank. They will have lots of experience and advice. The responsibility for moving the tank safely will ultimately rest with them, and they or their insurance company may want to exceed the minimum safety requirements set out in the code of practice.

I will suggest, u should see a crane or a big hyster operator. Since u have the dimensions of the tank, there nothing to worry about.Only see operator to know the right mobile equipment for the job.

The most important as indicated before is the API standards and any local standards.

Consulting the moving company contractor is advisable, but they might not know all the constraints by the standards, so the client has to update the pertinent contractor personnel.

Finally before moving the tank, please make sure all the pertinent authorities are notified, since they may not be aware and cause a problem.
