DC Inductance

dear all

inductor in dc circuit act as a resister , then in generator excitation and dc motors magnetic inductance is the base,

could be differ this two concept

There is no deference between them the two coils work as inductance at the beginning. when the initial current becomes steady the two will behave as resistances in a D.C circuit.but the heat in one of the inductance beyonds to its design the design of an inductance depends on the number of turns and type of the core. turns and type of the core determine what is called the impedance of the coil which is consist of two elements the inductance and the pure resistance .

the inductance =2x3.14fXL in the D.C the f=0.the inductance =0.

the rest is only the pure resistance.in the impedance of the coil.(resistance of the wire).
