Mechanical De-Scaling/Brushing of Spring Steel Wire Rod

Hi Forum,

My question is : Is it possible to mechanically de-scale the wire rod before the wire drawing for a 8 mm wire rod diameter??? If yes, what size of twist rollers or brushes do i need and what precautions we must take. Any other related information would be highly useful.
