Wattages of Various Luminaires

I have a confusing spate of information of wattages/ and longevity of various lighting devices such as incandescent/fluorescent/compact flourescent/ LED (Of various types).

May I know which is the right forum to seek answers for these ?

I was also told that LED lit tube lisghts are also being made. Do they conform to the power saving of pin point LEDs ?
