Drum Level at Starting

12/04/2012 6:22 AM

Hello everyone out there. I am working in 210 MW coal fired power plant as a Graduate Engineer. I want to know the basic boiler operation step wise. My question is, why the Drum level is kept low at the start-up of boiler.? When to start a feed pump.?

Well, there are four sets of people available already who will answer these questions and many more. They are the boiler operatives and supervisors on shift-work actually running the thing. Go and talk to them.
