IR Lamps

05/23/2007 3:52 PM

I have an electrostatic coating business and I would like to change my curing procedure from fuel heated oven to Infrared heated oven but I have a few inquires about the infrared heating lamps ,

1. What type of lamps are used in electrostatic coating ( product name , KW of the lamp )

2. How long does it need to be subjected on the coated metal before the powder melts

3. Does it work like normal lamps and after a while it dies or does it work like microwave halogen lamps goes on whenever you press it on

In the semiconductor industry their are several tools that use quartz lamps to rapidly heat wafers, 1000C in a few seconds. This may be a process that can transfer over to your needs. It would certainly up your throughput.
