SIF = Fracture Toughness?

12/16/2012 1:06 AM

Hi! Need assistance in calculations!

I have calculated stress intensity factor, KI=YΣ√πa, or 0.7*285*106√3.14*4=707MPa/m2

How do i find out if the stress intensity factor equlas to fracture toughness of 8.47Cv0.63

Any formulas? Thanks!
