Resolver Function

12/16/2012 3:44 AM

hi there, i need to know about the function of RESOLVER attached on the rotor of an induction motor, the resolver has its wires connected to LENZE inverter, in case if the resolver gets damage, how can i manage to run the motor without resolver, using the same LENZE inverter (just to save production time loss)?

Dear browser,

Resolver used as encoder sensor for accurate control by sending feed back from motor rotation with AC wave form.

you should open programs menu on inverter then select CONTROL MOD -change close loop parameter to v/f or vector control open loop. Now you can disconnect resolver.

good luck
