Tornatic Power Harnessing

12/22/2012 10:08 AM

like many of you (I suppose) I get an internet magazine called Gizmag. Last night I skimmed through an article about a guy who uses waste heat in conjunction with already cooled air to create a vortex. then this mini tornado is used to spin some sort of turbine to generate that magic flow of electrons we all use everyday. I'm just tossing it out for discussion. don't treat me like a Goldfish that was just tossed into a tank of Iscars! didn't study the data but as with most new age magic energy producers I assumed it wasn't science as much as hocus pocus. Oscars! your thoughts?

In principle, this will work. I suspect it would take a large unit to produce a small amount of power. Some verified figures might be interesting.

I barely gave my attention, I did see he was working on a set=up to make a 300 foot tall vortex, I'd like to see the numbers it produes....assuming it doest implode!

This came up in a couple of other threads too. Nice to see Michaud is getting some funds.
