	I need to specify material of composition of coupling hub of a pin-bush type shaft coupling fitted to a 200 BHP engine @ 300 rpm, for which OEM data is not available. It OD is 24 inches and shaft bore size is 5 inches. What may be a suitable material for machining a new hub? Will ASTM A48 CLASS 30 grey cast iron suffice?

	You may find a suitable coupling off-the shelf. You may peruse the links below. suitable pin-bush type shaft coupling 24" dia for 5" dia shaft
