A "squirrel-hair" paintbrush with just one hair, and lots of patience?

Coated with what? For what purpose? It makes a big difference.

Coating a powder is easiest if the coating is a material that can be vaporized and condensed onto the surface of the blown powder, perhaps under a vacuum. The condensed coating could be something that freezes to a solid at the temperature of the powder, or something that can be polymerized to a solid under UV light as the powder falls. Or any number of other possibilities. It all depends on what the coating material is supposed to be.

Good. It's for industrial use, not for food supplements or medicine. If it were the latter, my response would be "if you have to ask, it's not something you should get involved with."

"Coated calcium carbonate", as an industrial commodity, seems to refer to a stearate-coated product used as a white filler material used in various products -- but notably in extruded plastic pipes. The stearate coating enhances mixing and binding with the plastic, and also as a smoothing and lubricating agent that reduces wear on the extrusion die.

Stearic acid is water soluble, and will react with calcium carbonate particles to form a surface coating of calcium stearate. I'd guess that just dumping load of powdered calcium carbonate into a vat of stearate acid solution would serve to coat the particles. The problem would then be to dry the particles and prevent clumping while they were drying. The process might involve using an organic solvent, but I don't know about that.

There are undoubtedly companies that sell equipment for making stearate-coated CaCO3. Your best bet would be to contact a technical sales rep at an industrial equipment supplier. An industrial seller of stearic acid might be able to point you in the right direction.

coated calcium carbonate can be purchased at numerous places.

You could become a "value added" reseller.
