Neutral Earthing of 2 LV Diesel Generator Sets Operating in Parallel

What should be earthing arrangement for Neutral Earthing for 2 LV Diesel Generator sets operating in parallel. In other words, Is Neutral of one or Both generator to be earthed and why?

The DG are identical and rated 1500 KVA, 415 V.

Does it not say in Indian Standard 3043? How about British Standard 7671?

IEEE 446 (Orange) has a section on gens and grounding.

Ground them both, with the ground rods spaced at least one wavelength apart.

Hi there

You need to earth both off them....if they are working in parallel and their is a earth fault then the one not earthed are going to pump into the earth fault and will not trip ...

If the earth fault is big it can trip on phase fault but that will take longer and damage the Generator
