01/04/2013 4:27 AM

Through conduit gate valve and Plug valves (Both) can be used in abrasive services.

How one can distinguish the best one for Abrasive service.

Thanks

For "Abrasive" service I recommend you consider one of the following:

Saunders Diaphram Valve - http://www.msv.co.za/product/10/SAUNDERS-DIAPHRAGM-VALVE

or

AKO Pinch Valve - http://www.pinch-valve.com/en/home.html

The reason: Gate and Plug valves have cavities where the abrasive material can become lodged and cause premature failure of the valve.
