Choke sizing

how do we calculate the size i.e inductance in henry of a choke used with lamps .e.g what mH inductor should be used with a 250watt metal halide flood lamp.tanx

Look on the internet for free help in sizing these chokes.

I quit using mH (milliHenrys) and went to hW (henWeighs) some time ago.

That gives me a broader range of MushFactor (MF).

tanx? What does "tanx" meen?

Why calculate, when a simple telephone call to the manufacturer will reveal the correct OEM parts, and so many of them that they sell them just to get rid of them?
