Problem In Our Spectra Sensor Moisture Analyzer SS 2000

01/09/2013 8:10 AM

we are using Moisture analyzer made by Spectra Sensors Model # SS-2000 in our plant to monitor on line moisture in sale Gas. Now these days we are facing the some problem in our moisture analyzer.

1. couple a weeks go our analyzer suddenly showing the max moisture value on his display assembly as well as on DCS; so we checked it &found its power supply switching board is not working properly ( Power Supply Input Voltage, 120/240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, CSP). so we replace its faulty card with our same other moisture analyzer, after this we checked its all operating parameters & observed all are in DEFAULT mode, so we put all the normal values in this analyzer & took it in to service. analyzer worked properly but after this problem twice time our analyzer initialize its power automatically & also all its parameters set on default mode like midpoint 46 to 60 and Recalb 4110 t0 4000 and also changed the engineering units like temperature , pressure and concentration units.

2. Also we observed the the values of factory set coefficient pressure compensation PA1, PA2,PA3,PA4 changed. These values are not changed in field.

After problem before Problem

PA 1: 1.000E+00 1.231E+00

PA 2: 0.000E+00 -5.501E-04

PA 3: 0.000E+00 5.170E-07

PA 4: 0.000E+00 -1.974E-10

Now we saved its original parameters (midpoint 46,Recalb 4110 and engineering units) but we observed hunting(e.g 2.5lb to 3.1lb) in its reading .

We are also sending the Data to vendor but still no replay.

So please go through this problem and kindly guide us to overcome this.

The unit has some broken solder or something which makes it to power-off and on.
