Are Solar Panels Really Worth it?

Just new to the concept of getting solar panels 500w installed in Brisbane.

Is it really worth it? i.e. is it a no brainer & you will really save hundreds of dollars a year, or it is one of these ""well it depends on your situation""....

We pay about $700/quarter currently on our electricity bill.

in your case I suggest you build your own nuclear reactor and just toss the spent fuel over the fence into your neighbors yard
