Stalling Engine

i have a ford laser 2000 ghia automatic, it starts okay but if shift the gear into drive the revs fall and the engine cuts. so to keep the engine from cutting i have to keep tapping the accelarator. i searched the internet and found what i assumed related to the problem on my car. i cleaned the EGR valve,valve body and tha IAC valve but the problem still persists. please assist

Sounds like you might have a vacuum leak somewhere. I'd start by checking all vacuum hoses and connections.

thank you for your answer but unfortunately iam not a motor mechanic but iam very interested in fixing this problem myself.where do i check for this vacuum leak?

You can take a length of garden hose, hold one end to your ear, and place the other end around the engine, brake booster, etc., and listen for a hissing sound. Anywhere there is vacuum hosing.
